Rainbow Kindergarten
was established
in December 1998 as a
project of JCS
International
with the goal of
providing a model
kindergarten
for poor children in Erdenet,
Mongolia.
From
December 1998 to
June 2002 the kindergarten
ran its
activities in gers
(traditional felt
houses) from a rented
piece of land in
an informal “Ger
Area ”. In 2005 a
piece of land was
bought in a “Ger
Area” where a permanent
building has
been built to house
the new work. The
teachers and staff
of the Rainbow Care
Center will educate 40 children
aged 4-6, and organize training and
educational support for a further
30 children aged
7-15 who come from
poor families.
We were able to have an official
opening ceremony of
the New Rainbow Center on
the 20th of September, 2006.
The opening ceremony was
attended by officials from the
local government, delegations
from local organizations that
work with children, representatives
from the Education
Administration, friends from
different churches and from
Jesus Assembly.
