MINA began as a JCS project and now has become an independent, legally registered Saving and Credit Cooperative which helps the poor and marginalized in Ulaanbaatar by providing business training and financial services. Originally activities were focused in the Khan-Uul district, but have now spread to other areas.
MINA has also developed saving programs specifically targeted at students, church members and parents which further benefit the poor as they develop a habit of savings.
