The Kitchen Garden Project (KiGa) helps vulnerable families grow vegetables which they can sell or consume. In rural areas where unemployment is very high, people need opportunities to put their free time into productive use.
The project focuses on providing beneficiaries with the necessary infrastructure and training to be successful in gardening. The KiGa project also encourages cooperation between the participants in informal activities and also legally registered cooperatives to help increase efficiency and sustainability.
