JCS International started the “Caring for Disabled Children Project” in November 2001 and opened the Hope Center, which functions as a
model classroom for disabled children. While many handicapped children are stuck at home unable to enter a regular school, 20 children in Erdenet now have the chance to learn and physically develop through the Hope Center.

Each child has a specially designed education and physical therapy program for their individual needs which has made a big difference in the children’s quality of life. Parents are also trained to contribute to their child’s educational needs out of school hours.

It is a child-centered educational and rehabilitation program that encourages self-reliance. It also provides training for teachers, medical personnel and parents who work directly with these children.

In addition, the project helps to make society aware of the value of these children through increased exposure and awareness seminars.
